CBR's Superior Processing Technology is FDA Cleared

CBR has the only FDA-cleared automated cord blood processing system, AutoXpress™ Platform (AXP™), that can process any collection regardless of volume. AXP has the highest cell recovery rate in the industry which is critical since the goal and value of your investment in family banking is to save as many cells as possible for your family. If the cells are needed, a higher volume of cells can result in improved treatment success.

There are two types of cell recovery that matter:

  • The mononucleated cells (MNC) are the portion of the cord blood that contains stem cells. AXP delivers the highest published MNC recovery rate in the industry: 99% which is 22% higher than common processing methods like Hespan or SEPAX which many other banks use. This is important since it represents the amount of stem cells recovered for your family.

  • The total nucleated cells (TNC) are the total amount of white blood cells and stem cells in the cord blood. AXP recovers 96% of the total nucleated cells compared with 80% using other automated processing methods, like SEPAX.

The charts below illustrate CBR’s superior cell recovery rates:

In addition to the current uses, new medical applications for cord blood stem cells are being discovered rapidly; however, banking cord blood does not guarantee that the cells will provide a cure or be applicable for every situation.
